The dark, moody forests of western Oregon are one of my favorite photo subjects. Ferns, moss, Douglas fir trees, fog --- all those elements combine in a mysterious, wet and shadowy environment that's perfect for black-and-white photography and invites the subtle nuances of hand coloring.

These photographs are printed on 11x14-inch paper and matted to 16 by 20 inches, ready to frame.
